As informações obtidas pelas aeronaves, nos registros de imagens, identificam situações que variam de falhas no plantio até a identificação de pragas e ervas daninhas. 

Em primeiro lugar é necessário esclarecer que drone é o termo que identifica uma Aeronave Remotamente Pilotada (ARP), ou ainda, o Veículo Aéreo Não Tripulado (VANT). As duas expressões definem qualquer tipo de aeronave que não necessita de pilotos embarcados para ser guiada.
